Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Cloud Engineer**with extensive experience in cloud database architectures to join our team.

**Responsibilities**
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and optimized cloud databases using engines such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Azure SQL Database
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure scalable and secure solutions are implemented
- Optimize SQL queries, PLSQL processes, and Bash scripts to enhance database performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance and availability challenges in complex production environments
- Manage security and access controls with tools like Vault and BeyondTrust, and monitor systems using platforms like Datadog and CloudWatch
- Automate workflows and infrastructure processes using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and GitLab

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in cloud engineering roles
- Expertise in managing Amazon RDS databases, including configuration and optimization
- Hands-on experience with DynamoDB for non-relational database management
- Proficiency in ElastiCache for caching solutions and performance enhancement
- Experience working with Azure SQL Database for scalable cloud-based relational database management
- Advanced skills in database design, query optimization, data modeling, and scalability techniques
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog to ensure system reliability
- Strong background in automating infrastructure and managing it as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Proficiency with task management and tracking platforms such as Jira
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher

**Nice to have**
- Experience with other database engines and cloud services beyond the listed tools
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of advanced security practices for cloud environments
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
