RYZ is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work with one of our partners. They are a team of collaborative and creative problem solvers passionate about revolutionizing workforce tech with data-driven product solutions and enduring infrastructure. Currently looking for mission-driven engineers eager to share ideas, take ownership, and get things done.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build and Expand Infrastructure: Enhance AWS infrastructure to support our rapidly growing user base and engineering team.
2. Automate and Simplify: Identify repetitive tasks and develop tools to automate them. Simplify complex and error-prone processes with efficient solutions.
3. Ensure Security and Compliance: Develop tools and policies that provide engineers with necessary access while maintaining security and compliance.
4. Research and Implement Tools: Evaluate, recommend, and integrate new infrastructure and tools to support new product features.
5. Monitor and Alert: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and actionable alerting to maintain high operational standards.
6. Proactively manage and optimize cloud resources to control costs and maximize efficiency. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system alerts in a timely manner. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures.

Qualifications:

1. Kubernetes Expertise: Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and workloads (AWS EKS preferred) using configuration as code.
2. AWS Infrastructure: Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools (Plumi preferred).
3. Events-Based Architecture: Experience working, managing and monitoring platforms based on events architecture (messaging with SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Kafka, RabbitMQ are a plus).
4. CI/CD Solutions: Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery systems (Github Actions preferred).
5. Docker: Proficiency in building and maintaining Docker images.
6. Programming Skills: Proficiency in a high-level programming/scripting language (Python and TypeScript preferred).
7. Serverless Experience: Knowledge of managing and working with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework, CloudFunctions are a plus).
8. Vercel Experience: Experience working with Vercel Data.
9. Pipelines: Familiarity with data pipeline infrastructure such as Airflow.
10. Monitoring Tools: Experience with Datadog is a plus.
