QA Engineer Manual and Automation for Web and Mobile Apps:

About the Role: As a Senior QA at OneSeven, you will be an integral part of our growing QA team, testing web and mobile apps simultaneously through both manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, documenting them in our ticketing system ClickUp, and setting up test automations for web and mobile apps.

Onboarding: For the first few months, this candidate will be required to work in the office 2-3 times a week with the CEO and Engineering lead for faster onboarding. After a few months, a more hybrid approach will be accepted.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop/write and execute test cases, track bugs in CU, execute scripts, plans, and procedures for both web and mobile apps (manual and automated).
2. Research and find AI tools that can help the QA team do the job faster and better, while minimizing manual repeatable work that can be done by AI.
3. Collaborate with the project team to understand product changes and QA testing requirements to deal with issues/defects in a timely manner.
4. Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, end-to-end testing, and system testing.
5. Work closely with the development team to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality.
6. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
7. Collaborate with product teams and project managers to define and prioritize test scenarios.
8. Document and maintain test processes and procedures.
9. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues.
10. Analyze test results and identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Intermediate English level (important).
2. 4+ years of experience working in QA positions.
3. Experience with test automation platforms, systems, and tools (Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, K6, etc.).
4. Experience with mobile testing tools (Appium, etc.).
5. Experience with JavaScript frameworks for unit and integration tests (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
6. Experience with DevOps tools (Github Actions, CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
7. Experience with source control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, etc.).
8. Experience with API testing.
9. Knowledge of bug tracking and issue management tools (Click-Up, Jira, Linear, etc.).
10. Experience with test case management tools is a plus (TestRail, TestLodge, Qase, etc.).
11. Having an ISTQB Certificate is a plus.
12. The ability to write, read, and understand code (Python, Typescript, Javascript, SQL, and others) is a plus.
13. Experience with Pen Testing & Load Testing is a plus.
14. Strong mentoring and leadership skills.
15. Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and solve problems.
16. Team player, willing to jump outside of their role to help the greater team.
17. Ability to research as you work.
18. Ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment.
19. The desire to contribute to a growing, dynamic team and help shape process, practice, and operations.
20. You will need to provide your own workspace with reliable Internet service.
21. Agile + Scrum Methodology knowledge.
22. You are passionate about the startup environment and eager to learn.
23. You have a keen eye for detail and excel in documentation.
24. You are highly organized and proficient in task management.
25. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
26. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits/Compensation:

1. Hybrid - occasionally a few times a week in the office and the rest remote.
2. Contract-based employment.
3. Starting at $2,500 - $3,500 depending on qualifications and experience.
4. There are currently NO formal benefits packages available (health insurance, retirement plans).
5. Paid Vacation Time and sick days.
6. Fixed working hours 9am-5pm EST time. Monday-Friday.
7. Trial period for 2 months after which we will reevaluate the contract.
8. Active international young team of 20+ individuals that know how to work hard and play hard.
