Description

We are searching for a highly motivated, creative and passionate Senior Engineer with experience in the Automotive Industry. As part of your responsibility, you will verify software for functional safety as well as functionality. You will influence and support the launch of the product.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Develop and maintain work products defined by the safety standards like creation of project safety plan, safety cases, safety strategy, document flow etc.
2. Establish and monitor development flows and processes to achieve and sustain required quality and safety levels.
3. Handle software compliance against safety standards, collaborate on efforts, measure results, and provide status reports.
4. Work very closely with responsible teams for software changes and maintenance.
5. There will be multiple opportunities to collaborate and communicate effectively with the architecture and software teams.
6. Planning and post processing of all activities of ISO 26262 Safety-Lifecycle.
7. Accountable on functional and technical safety concepts within the project.
8. Support and execution of relevant quantitative and qualitative Safety Analysis (e.g. FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP etc.).
9. Analyze software for functional safety standards such as ISO26262 for different ASIL requirements.
10. Supporting in performing confirmation measures - Perform confirmation reviews, functional safety audit and assessments, Milestone gate reviews.
11. Strong collaboration and cooperation with Program Manager, Project Manager, Architects, Developers, Testers and Customers.

What We Need

1. 5+ years of industry experience in a related field.
2. Hold a B.E./B.Tech. or higher degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering and certified Functional Safety Manager.
3. Good understanding of software quality concepts and processes.
4. Practical experience with certifying software against known industry standards like ISO26262.
5. Proficiency in C/C++ and coding standards like Automotive MISRA or similar. Strong background in real-time embedded operating systems.
6. Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.).
7. Knowledge of System, Hardware and Software.
8. Experience in creation of safety concepts and Overview on Safety Analysis (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, HARA).
9. Experience in Quality Management.
10. Strong skills in communication, presentation and problem solving (customer and internal).
11. Flexible and autonomous working with global interfaces.
12. A strong teammate, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
13. English business fluent, German read fluent.
