Job Responsibilities - Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to project teams as a subject‑matter expert for operations strategies. - Serve as SME, translating and executing client‑defined strategies; develop strategies for areas of responsibility. - Ensure cost‑effective integrated solutions are presented consultatively to clients for peri‑ and post‑approval evidentiary needs. - Own growth and support of multiple RWLP‑aligned client accounts through excellence in operational delivery and proactive consultative development of repeat RWLP or cross‑divisional business opportunities. - Oversee all aspects of the client relationship, from proposal development through delivery of awarded projects to completion. - Maintain delivery of one or more books of work from RWLP‑managed accounts in accordance with scope, timeline, budget, SOPs, GPP, GCP, ICH, and applicable regulations. - Identify client RWE needs, coordinate SME resources, and deliver optimal operational support. - Lead discussions with clients to articulate and position RWLP business unit operational processes and standards. - Maintain senior‑management level relationships with clients through routine meetings and governance forums to manage risks and limitations. - Provide strategic leadership and oversight for communications with clients, including capability presentations and BDM meetings. - Lead RFP and RFI activities, vendor selection, strategy, services, and proposal development. - Collaborate in a matrix environment to align and motivate RWLP teams across research studies/programs toward delivery excellence. - Share lessons learned and best practices; build cross‑functional relationships across all levels. - Provide technical and operational leadership for client portfolios, ensuring operational and financial targets through risk review processes, KPI dashboards, and resourcing decisions. - Oversee delivery of RWLP vendor/partner services, integrating new service offerings. - Manage the total RWLP book of work within the assigned accounts, participate in business‑unit and department financial reviews. - Provide financial oversight to project teams—contracts, change orders, forecasting, invoicing. - Act as escalation point within the RWLP BU, the Syneos Health organization, and clients. - Identify and resolve complex issues, lead problem‑solving teams, and propose integrated solutions. - Facilitate overall operational issues and risk mitigation. - Provide senior‑level steering and direction to teams in risk assessment and mitigation. - Contribute account‑level insights to mitigate operational risks and process improvements. - May have direct reports. - Travel up to 25% of the time. Qualification Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or equivalent (e.g., BSc, BS). - Advanced or professional degree in life sciences or business management preferred (e.g., MSc, MPH, PhD, MD, MBA). - At least 6–8 years managing studies, with 6–8 years RWLP experience. - Prior Real World Late Phase CRO/pharma experience involving peri‑ and post‑approval research. - Proven ability to work independently across multiple accounts and navigate complex stakeholder structures. - Experience with virtual/decentralized studies preferred. - Prior cross‑functional project management experience within CRO/Pharma industry required. - Track record for successful management and delivery of client portfolios. - Direct experience with account/client management, including RFP/proposal development, bid defenses, and capability presentations. - Strong knowledge of the end‑to‑end life‑product cycle and integration of real‑world research. - Solid business and financial acumen, contractual negotiation experience. - Proven strategic operations decision‑making with multiple stakeholders. - Global and diversity‑oriented people‑management experience, line and matrix management. - Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. - Strong interpersonal and communications skills, team‑orientated approach. - Working knowledge of real‑world operational and regulatory requirements. - Proficiency in virtual communications and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent written and spoken English.
