Position Overview

The Finance Leader will be responsible for overseeing all the finance functions and manage the Business financial, treasury, accounting, and tax compliance, ensuring financial information is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting and taxation principles for Argentina country. The role works together and collaboratively across other key finance functions in the region. This position will be based at the Argentina office and will be a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Nourish Sub-regional leader and will receive functional guidance from the Nourish Global CFO.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the operating profitability of all businesses by navigating the challenges of a high inflation and volatile environment.

- Serve as the primary contact and provide Finance leadership support for all commercial and finance teams in the country.

- Manage foreign exchange risk and effectively handle the business’s cash flow and protect the profitability to ensure financial stability.

- Manage finance aspects in a volatile situation and hyperinflation scenario.

- Manage the month end, quarter end and year end closing under US GAAP following financial standards and procedures of IFF.

- Oversee accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes under US GAAP, adhering to IFF financial standards and procedures.

- Lead the statutory reporting and lead the annual statutory audit activities including reconciliation between US GAAP and local GAAP.

- Collaborate with Corporate Tax on the local tax filing & declarations including corporate Income tax, VAT and all other applicable local tax.

- Coordinate the internal and external audit requests to ensure compliance and accuracy.

- Support the tax team on the tax audits and support the country management on various government inspections.

- Provide advice to the team on complex accounting and tax topics related to the country.

- Act as the local contact for insurance matters and contracts.

- Be the partner of the country manager and country leadership team and provide the necessary support for finance and accounting matters.

- Coordinate payroll for IFF legal entities in Argentina: oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees.

- Support end-to-end P2P (Procurement to Pay) & O2C (Order to Cash) processes.

- Cash management responsibility, managing working capital and ensuring cash use in Argentina is maximized, working closely with Global Treasury team.

- Review and challenge operating company actuals, budgets and forecasts for all business, identifying, analyzing and highlight deviations and changes in key value drivers.

- Timely and accurate production of local management reporting, including actual results, forecasts and variance analysis / relevant commentaries, business insights and interpretations.

- Participation in financing activities as required.

Job Requirements

CORE COMPETENCIES:

- Experience in managing financial operations in a high inflation and volatile environment.

- Excellent risk management and cash flow management skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication and networking skills, with proficiency in preparing reports and presentations and with the ability to explain complex issues in a simple and concise manner.

- Consciousness of control and business ethics environment.

- Drive for results, Problem solving, Strong Analytical, Customer Focus, Strategic Agility.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools.

- Team leadership skills.

Qualifications

- Education: University Accounting, Finance or Economics degree.

- Experience: 10 years finance / accounting leadership experience ideally in a similar role.

- Certified Public Accountant, ACCA is a plus.

- Accounting & audit firm experience is a plus.

- Fluent in English.
