With a strong foundation in SQL and Power BI, along with familiarity with ETL processes, the Analytics Specialist ensures the accuracy and consistency of data outputs while driving business intelligence initiatives that support key decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting

- Working individually or as part of a group, contribute to and/or drive analytics initiatives that support business needs and enhance measurable performance. Work both proactively and reactively across all business functions, leveraging your knowledge of the business, SQL, and DAX to devise queries, measures, and visualizations that address complex business questions and support decision making.
- Generate data products in Power BI and other mediums as key outputs of analytics activities, driven by stakeholder requirements and business priorities. Deliver high-impact, sustainable, purpose-driven data products within our company's certified reporting infrastructure, containing data visualizations that are clear, interactive, efficiently constructed, and effective in delivering insights.

Stakeholder Engagement and Proactive Insights

- Act as a consultative partner to internal stakeholders by engaging proactively to understand their data needs and translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Deliver original insights based on data analysis to help improve business outcomes and support key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives & key results (OKRs).

Collaboration with Data Engineering and Technical Teams

- Collaborate closely with the Data Engineering team to define and scope requirements for ETL pipelines and data flows, ensuring alignment with analytics and business needs.
- Support the validation and troubleshooting of ETL processes and data pipelines, working alongside Data Engineers to maintain data integrity and accessibility for reporting purposes.
- While direct ETL development is not required, familiarity with the processes will be helpful for understanding data flows, incorporating new data assets into our Data Lake and Data Warehouse, and supporting the ongoing development of our data infrastructure.

Data Management and Quality Assurance

- Contribute to the continuous evolution of data as a core business asset at our company, acting as a steward of data integrity and accuracy, and exercising diligence in preparing reports and analyses to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement. Proactively engage and collaborate with our Data Quality & Governance Lead to define and support related initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining and evolving data models, ensuring they are designed for long-term scalability and ease of use for reporting and insights generation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in data analytics, with proven ability to deliver on complex analytical projects.
- Expertise in data visualization tools, especially Microsoft Power BI, and proficiency in SQL required; familiarity with Python, R, or similar technologies preferred.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts highly preferred, though not required for development.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on data flows and ETL processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability and comfort in engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including senior executives.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and deliver high-impact data solutions.
