Monks is seeking a talented and resourceful Senior Art Director to join our creative team.
In this vital role, you will transform concepts into captivating visuals, establishing the artistic approach for social media posts across two prestigious automotive brands.
Your expertise in design, keen eye for detail, and understanding of brand positioning will play a crucial role in shaping our social media presence.

Key ResponsibilitiesVisual Transformation: Help transform concepts into stunning visuals that align with the brand identity and messaging for each post.Artistic Direction: Establish the artistic approach for every social media post, ensuring that visuals effectively convey the brand's personality and vehicle characteristics.Brand Identity Creation: Maintain cohesive visual identities across both brands on various social media platforms, ensuring design consistency and brand alignment.Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team, including copywriters and motion designers, to develop integrated social media campaigns that reflect a social-first focus.Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of visual quality, ensuring accuracy in design elements and checking for consistency between copy and visuals, including vehicle trims and features.Client Presentations: Present visual concepts and designs to clients, articulating the creative vision and demonstrating alignment with brand goals.Curiosity and Brand Understanding: Proactively learn about each brand's positioning, personality, and vehicle attributes, ensuring that all visual work reflects the intended narrative.Trend Analysis: Stay updated with design trends and social media best practices, integrating innovative ideas into your work while discerning the appropriate use of AI and compositing techniques.Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and empowering team environment.Background & SkillsExperience: Minimum of 5 years as an Art Director or Senior Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create impactful visual identities in the automotive sector.Creative Vision: Strong design sense, with the ability to conceptualize and execute visually compelling solutions that resonate with audiences.Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma)Branding Experience: Proven experience in developing and managing brand identities, especially in a social media context.Attention to Detail: An eye for detail to ensure all designs align with brand standards and accurately represent vehicle characteristics.Curiosity: A strong desire to learn about the brands you work with, delving into their market positioning and consumer insights.Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective teamwork and collaboration.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.About Monks Monks is the global, purely digital, unitary operating brand of S4Capital plc.
