SUMMARY The Front End Developer (React Native) plays a critical role in building and maintaining high-performance mobile applications using React Native and Expo. This role requires deep expertise in mobile development, modern JavaScript frameworks, and scalable architecture. Responsibilities include designing and implementing new features, improving application performance, ensuring seamless user experiences, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. REPORTS TO Engineering Manager

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain high-quality, scalable mobile applications using React Native and ExpoArchitect and implement robust, reusable, and maintainable components and modulesOptimize performance of mobile applications to ensure smooth animations, fast load times, and efficient memory usageCollaborate with designers and product teams to translate wireframes and mockups into fully functional mobile applicationsIntegrate APIs and third-party services, ensuring smooth communication between front-end and back-end systemsEnsure cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness across iOS and Android, and Web devicesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standardsConduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developersImplement and maintain automated testing to ensure application stability and performanceStay up to date with the latest mobile development trends and best practices in the React Native and Expo ecosystemParticipate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives The duties and responsibilities outlined above are not a comprehensive list, and additional tasks may be assigned based on business needs. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION5+ years of experience in mobile development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with React Native and ExpoProficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ featuresDeep understanding of React Native core concepts, including hooks, state management, and component lifecycleExperience with Expo SDK, including Expo modules, EAS (Expo Application Services), and Expo GoStrong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles, animations, and accessibility best practicesExperience integrating RESTful APIs into mobile applicationsFamiliarity with push notifications, deep linking, and mobile authentication mechanisms (APN, FCM, Apple/Google Auth)Experience with native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin) is a plus but not requiredUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications, including App Store and Google Play deploymentFamiliarity with performance optimization techniques for mobile applicationsExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentEnglish proficiency is a must. You must be able to clearly communicate your ideas and work with English-speaking team membersPreferred: Based in Buenos Aires with availability to work on-site in our office in CABA two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
