Job Description - Backend Developer (MER0003DB3) Description Responsible for the development and maintenance of a toolchain, which processes Mercedes Benz car ECU software by uploading, packaging, certifying, scheduling, and deploying into the car, including Over the Air updates. The toolchain consists of more than 10 in-house developed applications along with connections to various IT systems. It supports all use cases such as software development and testing in R&D, flashing of ECU software on production lines, software updates, and diagnosis in workshops worldwide, keeping customer cars up to date with software and bringing updates to the worldwide fleet.
We offer the opportunity to understand the entire Mercedes-Benz technical stack which handles the processing of hardware and software. You can also learn about the complete EE architecture of Mercedes Benz Cars and how "Over The Air Update" is implemented. You will get to work on the new Mercedes Benz Operating System (MB.OS) using the latest tech stack, tools, and platforms.
Must Have Skills: Strong skills in a modern language and framework combination such as Java/Kotlin and SpringStrong skills in a SQL technology, such as Postgres, MySQL, or similarExperience working with version control tools such as GitKnowledge of NoSQL technologiesKnowledge of container platforms such as DockerExperience with continuous integration practices and tools such as JenkinsExperience building web/mobile back-ends and APIsWe are looking for team-oriented, responsible, innovative, and passionate people to help us shape the department.
