- Patient Care: Provides basic assessment and medical treatment for individuals in custody, including emergency care as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintains accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to program policies and accreditation standards.
- Quality Assurance: Participates in medical quality management initiatives and reviews, ensuring compliance with DHS and CBP directives.
Requirements
- Education: Successful completion of an Emergency Medical Technician Basic and/or Paramedic program in any United States jurisdiction.
- Licensure/Certification: Current, active, valid, and unencumbered license or certification to practice as a Nationally Registered EMT or Paramedic issued by any United States jurisdiction.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care as a licensed/certified NR EMT or Paramedic in any United States jurisdiction.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in both English and Spanish.
