Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ADAS Driving System Verification Engineer to join our team at Daimler Trucks North America LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for verifying the functionality and performance of our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) driving systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Review and Clarification
    • Review ADAS function specifications with customer function owners and market function owners to ensure global and China-specific requirements are met.
    • Clarify requirement scope to be tested in each release, focusing on driving functions such as ACC, ALSA, ALCA, L2+, and L2++.
  • Test Case Design and Review
    • Design test cases for corresponding functions and organize test case reviews with related partners.
    • Prioritize test content with a fully aligned test plan and ensure test sets are assigned to proper test platforms.
  • Test Enabling and Reporting
    • Enable testing at the beginning of each release testing by conducting driving tests, recording test results, and establishing testing conditions.
    • Define the reason behind failures and report test results to project teams and function owners to drive issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree or above in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in vehicle EE, ADAS, CarIT-related areas.
  • Skills
    • Intensive knowledge of ADAS driving functions or ADAS driving systems.
    • Practical experience in ADAS driving system development or testing.
    • Basic knowledge of project management and MS Office skills.
    • ISTQB certification beneficial.
    • Excellent communication and team working skills in a global, multi-cultural environment.
    • Knowledge of vehicle perception and control systems, including powertrain, ESP, and steering systems.
    • Excellent hands-on engineering mindset to solve issues with necessary pragmatism and creativity.
    • Independent and proactive working style, with willingness to travel inside China and abroad for system testing.
