About the Role

The Business Intelligence Developer will play a key role in supporting reporting solutions that align with company standards, including investigating development and production data issues. This position will collaborate with other team members in support activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain SSRS and Power BI reports to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop a working knowledge of related source data systems and tool sets to drive business insights.
  • Participate in regular meetings with internal production support teams and business users to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Review and maintain solution documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to support a broad range of technical solutions and drive business outcomes.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Design and develop solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Identify and document quality assurance activities, strategies, and schedules to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Communicate issues and progress to management and customers as needed, providing timely and effective reporting.
  • Coordinate work activities across Data Analytics, Data Services, and Information Technology departments to drive business outcomes.
  • Ensure all supported BI environments, reports, and dashboards are accurate and functioning as expected.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Establish and enforce governance and stewardship for supported environments, reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Provide rapid corrective response and action to resolve disruptive incidents.
  • Communicate incident status to management, staff, and user personnel.
  • Document incident occurrence and resolution in the appropriate repositories.
  • Identify and recommend strategies to minimize risk of incident recurrence.
  • Coordinate the application of program enhancements with applications and technical staffs to ensure customer satisfaction and SLA compliance.
  • Foster and sustain open communication with business users and stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Test results and apply best practices on quality assurance to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, execute tasks, and ensure timely delivery.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to drive business insights and outcomes.
  • Broad knowledge in visualization techniques, data storytelling, and designing automated descriptive analytics/reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Excel, SSRS, Tableau, SharePoint, PowerApps, MSFlow, SQL, and/or SAS.
  • Effective and compelling communication skills to engage technical and non-technical departments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and concise communication.
  • Good documentation skills to maintain accurate and complete documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skilled in data modeling and Entity Relationship Diagram.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL to perform data analysis and writing ad-hoc queries.
  • Working experience with Power BI Stack.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and concise communication.
  • Good documentation skills to maintain accurate and complete documentation.
