The Business Development Leader role is pivotal in achieving this vision by driving business development, increasing card acceptance, and fostering strategic partnerships with merchants and stakeholders across the GLAC region.
Job Description
This individual contributor position is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities in the GLAC region, focusing on Argentina. The successful candidate will work closely with merchants, internal teams, and external partners to increase card acceptance and promote the use of Visa products, emphasizing digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the MS&A Strategy for the country in coordination with the local team.
- Identify, develop, and lead the management of key merchant accounts.
- Add value to strategic merchants through initiatives that increase acceptance and use of Visa products, with a strong emphasis on digital solutions.
- Analyze market data to identify Merchant and Acquiring development opportunities in line with plans.
Reporting Relationships & Interactions
- The position reports to the Head of Merchant Sales & Solutions in GLAC.
- Interacts internally with Sales, Products, and Marketing teams, as well as the MS&S Local, Regional, and Global teams.
- Externally interacts with various stakeholders, including merchants and Third Party Agents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in retail or payments industry, preferably.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in business/economic.
