The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team on a permanent basis. As part of our continued expansion, you will have primary responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts and other accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including production of trial balance, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Review and analyze management accounts to confirm amounts are as per expectations compared to forecast and previous periods, providing detailed variance analysis.
- Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and accrued interest, maintaining fixed asset register and updating intercompany accounts.
- Support the production of year-end financial statements in accordance with supporting documentation.
- Produce reports and other analyses as required by management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role in a Finance Department and strong accounting background.
- Minimum of 3 years end-to-end month-end close process experience.
- Hold a relevant Accounting Qualification.
- Experience of accounting software packages (knowledge of Sage Intacct and Yooz would be valuable but not required).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel.
- Good organizational skills with strong ability to multi-task and keen attention to detail with large data sets.
- Plans and prioritizes work effectively, ensuring deadlines are met, and communicates effectively when there is an issue preventing a deadline from being met.
