E-commerce User Experience Researcher Job Description
Lenovo is seeking a skilled UX Researcher to lead and conduct user experience research across a wide range of e-commerce UIs, customer types, platforms, and product information.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop research plans, methodologies, and protocols to address key e-commerce product questions and business goals.
- Conduct usability tests, perform competitive analysis, benchmarking, contextual inquiry, and other types of usability testing.
- Contribute UI ideas that simplify and enhance the online e-commerce experience.
- Analyze qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods data to identify patterns, insights, and trends specific to e-commerce user behavior.
- Synthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations that enhance the e-commerce user experience.
- Present research findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshops, with a focus on e-commerce insights.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in user experience research or social science research, with a proven track record of delivering research findings with impactful ROI.
- Expertise in experimental design and statistics; equally comfortable with qualitative and quantitative data.
- Demonstrated expertise triangulating multiple research and data collection methods.
- Expert-level experience with usability testing platforms and research tools such as survey platforms, session-recording tools, site intercepts, SAS, SPSS, R, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Possession of a Master's degree in a Social Science or HCI, Cognitive or Social Psychology, Anthropology, or related social science field is required. PhD preferred.
