The Opportunity:

We're seeking a highly skilled Brand Design Lead to join our team at Monks, a global digital marketing and technology services company. As a key member of our Brand_ID team, you will work closely with our clients to craft and shape amazing work for the world's biggest brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and shape a team of designers to deliver high-end projects and pitches, working closely with the Design Director to unlock creative potential.
  • Translate brand strategy and creative concepts into functional and expressive brand identity systems and solutions that drive business results.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure we exceed expectations and push the boundaries of design and creativity.
  • Use your problem-solving skills to guide projects and design teams from start to finish, ensuring the highest quality work.
  • Present and rationalize your work and the Brand_ID team's work to clients and stakeholders, both in-person and through video calls.
  • Provide narrative-driven design rationale to articulate and strengthen proposals, and have strong design-driven opinions that drive results.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in graphic design, Brand_ID, and digital, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates aesthetic excellence, presentation, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Natural design leadership skills, with a proven track record of fostering, growing, educating, motivating, and retaining a team of creative designers.
  • Strong social and communication skills, with the ability to understand how colleagues and clients work and think.
  • Thorough understanding of design fundamentals, including brand mark design, typography, grid systems, white space, aspect ratios, and color theory.
  • Mastery of modern design and prototyping tools, including Adobe CS and Figma.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility and willingness to apply design-thinking across all stages of the creative process.
