Key Responsibilities
- Assist in driving aspects of the data protection program in collaboration with the Global Data Privacy Leader
- Provide advice and interpretation of data protection legislation and EY's global privacy framework
- Advising on privacy impact assessments, incidents, data protection portions of contracts, training, individual rights requests, and data access requests
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures, instructing external counsel, and liaising with stakeholders
Requirements
- 8+ years PQE with minimum 6 years prior professional experience of data protection in the capacity of a legal counsel
- Appreciation of data protection principles and application of controls to protect confidential and personal data
- Experience in operational data protection processes, including PIA and individual rights requests
- Experience advising on data protection relevant contract provisions, and international data transfers
