Job Title: Data Analyst II

Location: Remote (EST Time zone)

Salary Range: up to 1206 USD

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Data Analyst II to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in performing audits, checking compliance with processes, and ensuring accuracy in routine reporting across all departments. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Auditing and Compliance: Perform audits and ensure that processes are followed to mitigate issues during monthly and fiscal closes.
  • Data Analysis: Identify discrepancies in data across different software platforms and follow up with employees to resolve issues.
  • Reporting: Generate routine reports for all departments, providing insights and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Project Management: Organize and update ongoing projects, ensuring timely updates and completion.
  • Software Research: Research and test new software solutions, arrange demos, and provide summaries of findings.
  • Communication: Write concise memos and communicate effectively with C-Suite executives, providing recommendations supported by data.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data analysis or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of ERP software, preferably NetSuite or Acumatica.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, including advanced formulas.
  • Some knowledge of SQL.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Project management experience and experience working with vendors.
  • Familiarity with messaging tools such as Slack or Notion.
  • Experience in accounting and working with various accounting software.
  • Experience writing concise, executive-level memos.
