Job Description
This role is part of the global Corporate Affairs team, supporting all of our sites around the globe. The Senior Director, Media and External Relations will be responsible for managing the company's external communications and reputation, with a strong emphasis on building relationships with top-tier U.S. media outlets. This includes crafting and executing media strategies, monitoring media coverage, and creating content for our external channels.
Main Responsibilities
- Build Strong Global and U.S. Media Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with top-tier media – particularly U.S. media outlets - to secure impactful media coverage that aligns with the company's strategic priorities.
- Create Engaging Content: Write engaging content for media, social media, and website content to communicate the company's strategy, values, and achievements in a clear and compelling way.
- Collaborate on Investor Communications: Work alongside the Corporate investor relations team and regional colleagues to support investor meetings, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, International Relations or a related field is required. 10+ years of experience in external relations, media relations, or corporate communications. Advanced knowledge in media training, preparing senior leadership for media interactions and ensuring consistent public representation.
