We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Investment Officer to join our team at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and structuring investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver financial and technical support.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and develop a strong pipeline of investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector, working closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Structuring and Negotiation: Evaluate, structure, and negotiate investment transactions, developing innovative financial structures and negotiating with clients and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Deal Execution and Transaction Management: Deliver investment transactions efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all requirements are met and that clients receive the support they need.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the portfolio and report on development results, working closely with colleagues to ensure that transactions are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Strategy Development and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the development of strategies for business development and knowledge sharing, building IFC's expertise and reputation in the infrastructure sector.
- Mentoring and Coaching: Mentor and coach junior colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge, helping to build a strong and effective team.
- Education: Master's degree in finance or a related field.
- Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in a development finance institution, commercial bank, international financial institution, private equity firm, or consulting firm, with a proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing investments.
- Skills: Strong financial and credit skills, with the ability to structure and close investments in the infrastructure sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Language: Fluency in English and Spanish, with Portuguese a plus.
