Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team at Hotel Caruso Spa, a prestigious Belmond Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reports to management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Data Management: Manage and analyze financial data, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  2. Cash Handling: Collect, count, and prepare bank deposits on a daily basis, and maintain cash float contracts.
  3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and provide accurate financial reports to management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  4. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements on a regular basis.
  5. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or accounting, preferably in a senior role.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to make decisions quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
