About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead Javascript Developer to join our team at AgileEngine. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems using Javascript.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of our Omnichannel capabilities, focusing on delivering a best-in-class user experience.
- Work with dynamic back-end technologies (Elixir, Perl, Typescript) and help expand the use of React on our sites.
- Collaborate with our leadership team to define scalable technical solutions and partner with global engineers to contribute to our global technology products.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve when urgent technical solutions are needed.
- Code review and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Be truly language agnostic, with the ability to pick up new languages and skills to deliver new solutions to unexpected problems.
- Have 4+ years of web development experience with expertise in JavaScript.
- Have 3+ years of front-end development experience, with expertise in CSS, focusing on building complex layouts and meeting pixel-perfect design requirements.
- Have 3+ years of back-end development experience, with expertise in NodeJS, or TypeScript and GraphQL APIs.
- Have experience with building performant, responsive front-end components.
- Have a technical background with knowledge of engineering principles and design patterns.
- Be passionate about writing clean, modern, maintainable, and highly performant code.
- Have the proactive ability and a self-starter attitude to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Have a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
- Have experience working in an Agile team.
- Have self-awareness and a desire to continually improve.
- Have an upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with PHP and at least 1 major framework such as Laravel, Phalcon, Symfony, etc.
- Experience with TypeScript and at least 1 modern Frontend Web Framework such as VueJS, Angular, or Svelte.
- Experience with Server-Side rendering in either,, or Hugo.
- Experience in e-commerce engineering.
- Experience with NextJS or Phoenix.
