Software Asset Management Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of software licenses across our organization. This includes governance design, process definition, discovery, usage tracking, reporting, audit response, compliance validation, renewal, cost recovery modeling.

You'll work closely with the Finance team to ensure that our internal chargeback design and administration are optimized for maximum efficiency.

Our global Software Asset Management (SAM) team is accountable for targeted optimization of complex, high-value software contracts which underpin our business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of software licenses across our organization.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to optimize internal chargeback design and administration.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of software usage and spend.
  • Develop and implement effective software license position assessments and 12-month renewal plans.
  • Identify and recommend cost savings and optimization opportunities for various software vendors.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience in License Management working in a large corporate environment.
  • Proven abilities to manage server software licensing models and product use rights across major software vendors.
  • Experience in working with high-value software contracts with vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, and Oracle.
  • Experience working with IT asset management systems and IT asset discovery technologies.
  • Solid experience in contract negotiation and management.
