Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Daimler Trucks North America LLC. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications for our next-generation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop software applications for vehicle systems, including entry and access authorization functions.
  2. Implement software using model-based and/or hand-coded approaches.
  3. Integrate software on both real and virtual targets.
  4. Develop and implement automated tests on unit and integrated software levels.
  5. Debug and troubleshoot software functions in test environments and on embedded targets.
  6. Visualize requirements using Classic Autosar Full Stack (Base and Application layers).
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets quality and safety standards.
  8. Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on automotive systems.
  3. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
  4. Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
  5. Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
