The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a seasoned Legal Counsel with a strong background in commercial law, contract negotiation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing effective legal support to businesses and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including distribution agreements, product supply agreements, strategic collaboration agreements, turnkey agreements, and procurement agreements.
- Provide legal counseling and commercial contracting advice on sales and marketing activities, customer agreements, private and government tenders, and distribution channels.
- Monitor new legislations and advise business clients on compliance and regulatory issues, including data privacy, product safety laws, public tenders laws, anti-corruption laws, antitrust law, export controls, and others.
- Review marketing and advertising materials for compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Assist with claims and litigation management, including managing outside counsel and directing the scope of activities.
- Provide Legal and Compliance trainings to employees.
Requirements:
- Law Degree from an accredited law school.
- 4+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house at a multinational company.
- Fluency in English.
- Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Argentina.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting various types of commercial agreements.
- Ability to recognize legal and ethical risks and communicate effectively with business partners.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and work independently with colleagues in multiple locations.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
