Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced pediatric advisor to join our team. As a pediatric advisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to children in custody, working closely with the National Medical Director, physician supervisors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the on-site regional pediatric medical authority, providing supervision, oversight, consultation, coordination, and direction for pediatric medical services.
• Provide pediatric medical direction and necessary guidance/oversight for advanced practice pediatric provider supervision, oversight, consultation, coordination, and direction for all medical services.
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform BLS/CPR as needed.
• Clinical supervisory authority over pediatric mid-level providers, as assigned.
Requirements:
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or equivalent degree from a school in the United States or Canada.
• Current, active, valid, and unencumbered license, registration, or certification as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or as a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
• 5 years' experience as attending or independently practicing physician in a direct pediatric patient care setting.
• Board certification in Pediatrics by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved board.
