The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in solution architecture, technology implementation, consultative selling, and hands-on full lifecycle IT systems development, implementation, and project management. You will provide direct leadership to a technical team in a rapidly growing services organization. You will effectively manage customer expectations and communicate seamlessly with delivery teams. You will lead a talented group of engineers as their mentor and guide, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills while working collaboratively with teams across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the solutions delivered are well-architected, developed, tested, and implemented.
- Support business development efforts, including sales calls and preparing technical responses with project scope, cost estimates, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Guarantee client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to expand our business within existing accounts.
- Assist Delivery Managers and Project Managers in forecasting staffing, budget, and resource needs for projects.

- Collaborate with sales prospects and existing clients to devise innovative technology solutions for critical business challenges.
- Clearly articulate solutions and provide cost and timeline estimates in partnership with other team members.
- Encourage a diverse group of team members to achieve their best potential.
- Participate in the recruitment of senior technical staff.
- Conduct performance reviews for some team members.
- Enhance our DevOps and related infrastructure and processes to improve systems, tools, automation, and methodologies.
- Promote skill diversification across various technologies, platforms, and business models within the team.
- Lead the ongoing implementation of new industry standards and development methodologies, including Agile and Kanban, to foster responsiveness and growth.
- Maintain a strong focus on client success.
- Stay informed about technology trends and advancements driven by personal passion.
- Recommend best practices based on experience, research, frameworks, design patterns, and visionary thinking.
- Engage with our global team through regular video conferences and occasional early morning or late evening calls.
- Drive team certifications and maintain software partner status.
- Occasionally travel for client meetings and related conferences.
- Mentor the technical team across different offices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in one or more development technologies such as Java, Python, RoR, PHP, or C#.
- Experience with microservices architectures and frameworks like Spring Boot, BFF, MuleSoft, or Apache Service Mix.
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, Dynamo, MariaDB, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Node.
Other Qualifications
- Experience with Progressive Web Applications (PWA) and frameworks like Vue or Magento React.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code tools such as CI/CD, Monitoring, and Alerting – Terraform, Kubernetes, Rancher, Jenkins, etc.
- Background in eCommerce, marketplaces, cloud solutions, Continuous Integration, DevOps, middleware, mobile, and content management.
- Experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms like Oracle Commerce ATG, Oracle Commerce Cloud, Magento, SAP Hybris, and Shopify Plus.
- Knowledge of integrating commerce solutions with retail software like ERP, OMS, CRM, WMS, and Payment Gateways.
- Experience with marketing technology solutions such as marketing automation and Data Management Platforms (DMP).
- Exposure to related technologies like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Commerce Tools, and Elastic Path.
- Experience architecting microservices-based solutions.
- Familiarity with headless architectures, including Single Page Applications (SPA) and Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
- Innovative technologies such as AI/ML in retail/eCommerce are a plus.
- Strong background in web systems integration.
- Proven leadership in high-visibility projects.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new and evolving cloud technologies.
- Experience with various methodologies including Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Rapid Prototyping.
- Strong management skills in resource planning, setting expectations, scheduling, and mentoring.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a professional manner.
