Drilling Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Technology Specialist to join our team at Lufkin Gears. As a key member of our Directional Drilling team, you will be responsible for providing resolution to complex problems at the well site, utilizing your expertise in drilling and logging technology.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Job Safety Meetings and Operations: Conduct thorough safety meetings, pick up tools, make up modular connections, verify scribeline measurement, make up drill bit, and perform surface tests prior to running-in-hole (RIH).
- Drilling and Logging Program Execution: Perform operations as per the Drilling and Logging Program, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results.
- Rig-Down and Equipment Management: Confirm rig-down with clients, inspect and clear equipment, close work permits, and notify customers.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to internal compliance and HSE standards, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in directional drilling and MWD gained in an oil and gas environment.
- Education: Mechanical, Petroleum, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineer degree.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (oral and written) and excellent all-round communication skills.
