About the Team

We're a dynamic and diverse team of professionals who own all aspects of our corporate infrastructure. This infrastructure supports critical systems, including satellite operations, data processing, satellite manufacturing, and employee support. We design, implement, and monitor a wide range of systems and assets across the globe, always striving to innovate and improve.

About the Position

As a Senior Network Administrator, you'll oversee our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance, routing, firewalling, and interconnectivity among our locations and cloud infrastructure. You'll design and implement key systems and services, while promoting best practices across teams. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our network appliances, identifying and resolving incidents, and collaborating with teams to evaluate system performance and monitor production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain our network appliances, troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
  • Collaborate with teams to evaluate system performance and monitor production environments.
  • Perform discovery and requirements analysis for new network features, analyzing current network capabilities and limitations, and designing and integrating new system capabilities to meet requirements.
  • Create, use, and maintain network technical documentation and security plans.
  • Configure and oversee various aspects of IT initiatives before deployment, coordinating with cross-functional teams, including DevOps engineering and other operations teams.
  • Perform scheduled patch management tasks and troubleshoot and resolve related issues and incidents.
  • Ensure timely and smooth progress of network-related projects, aligning with timelines, budget, and requirements.
  • Define systems capacity planning for on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals and passionate colleagues.
  • Collaborate with helpdesk support tasks.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional and technical experience as a network administrator in heterogeneous environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with cloud and on-premise networking (switching, VLANs, VPN, VPC, routing protocols).
  • Experience managing and configuring DNS systems (BIND).
  • Experience in scripting (Python, Bash).
Preferred Location

Buenos Aires or Montevideo.
