Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Sagan. This key role will oversee financial management, reporting, and compliance to ensure the company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management and Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, develop budgets and forecasts for underwriting, acquisitions, and operations, conduct variance analyses and provide actionable insights.
- Accounting Oversight: Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions, ensure accurate reconciliations and payroll processing, maintain compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.
- Cash Flow and Investor Relations: Manage funds for acquisitions, renovations, and operations, track loan servicing and compliance with lender requirements, prepare investor reports detailing metrics like RevPAR, NOI, and occupancy rates.
- Strategic Financial Support: Align financial goals with operational strategies for stabilization and growth, identify and execute cost management initiatives.
- Systems and Collaboration: Implement and optimize accounting systems tailored to company needs, work closely with underwriting, operations, and legal teams to ensure financial strategies align with business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in the hospitality industry.
- Expertise in USALI and GAAP accounting standards.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, payroll software, and hotel management systems.
- Experience with extended-stay rental models and turnaround projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
