Are you a passionate and experienced Program Manager looking to lead a team of world-class engineers in a fast-paced cloud company? We're seeking a talented individual to join our Proofpoint Engineering team as an Engineering Program Manager III.
As an Engineering Program Manager III, you will be responsible for leading the development lifecycle from beginning to end in a technical and Agile environment. You will create project plans and schedules, identify project teams, allocate and level work schedules for each team member, prioritize and target features and defects based on defined project themes. You will also update the team dashboard with summary metrics for each sprint and cultivate and maintain open communication and constructive collaboration between key stakeholders.
You will manage and lead projects with multiple cross-functional, matrixed teams across the US, Belfast, Cordoba, and Argentina. You will be able to command respect and trust of your peers, including Engineering and technical leads. You will effectively set and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
You will be technically proficient in software development practices and able to identify and manage project dependencies and critical path deliverables. You will manage the release/sprint planning and help maintain the backlog. You will proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
As a successful candidate, you will have a BA or BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 5-8 years of experience in the software, technology, information security, or related industry, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be a team player, able to work with multiple teams on different projects and context switch quickly between them. You will be able to work as an independent self-starter and as part of a team. You will have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with persistence/unwavering ability to follow through.
