Fitness Safety Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Health and Safety Manager to join our team at JD Gyms Group.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures across all gym facilities nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety strategies aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices.
- Policy Development: Create and enforce health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Empowerment: Empower managers and colleagues with training, resources, and support to foster a safety-conscious culture throughout the organisation.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections across all gym facilities.
- Incident Response: Develop and maintain effective incident response protocols, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Data Analysis: Analyse health and safety data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the overall safety performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to promote a positive safety image for the organisation.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring all employees are trained and prepared to handle various emergency situations.
- Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent.
- Good experience in health and safety management in the fitness or leisure industry.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful health and safety strategies in a national organisation.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm and passion for Health and Safety and an ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
