Multidisciplinary Risk Consultant

FM Global is seeking a skilled Boiler and Machinery Consultant Engineer to join our team. This dynamic role requires professionals with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as experience in high hazard industries.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate the integrity and reliability of equipment to identify hazards and deficiencies, providing focused risk improvement solutions to reduce equipment risk.
- Utilize industry standards, data sheets, and guides to provide risk guidance and implement best practices.
- Prepare engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations Engineering, Client Services, Account Management, and Underwriting on Boiler and Machinery recommendations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, managing time effectively and traveling extensively to client sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a concentration in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a high hazard industry, combined with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience in power generation, chemical, nuclear, mining, pulp and paper, steel, manufacturing, or maritime industries is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical power generation, associated equipment, and systems, including rotating equipment, boilers, generators, and safety devices.
- Industrial Control Systems experience is highly valued.
