Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY ARGENTINA S.A.U. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and completing bids, estimates, and quotations based on client specifications and requirements to achieve market competitiveness and a high margin for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales and customer organization through the proposal process, preparing technical product and technology descriptions, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
  • Prepare and support the preparation of technical and economic proposals based on client requirements, local business unit indications, and factory instructions.
  • Define costs, prepare final documentation, and act as a key technical resource in the designated area for the proposed solution and communicate with the sales organization.
  • Provide information to the Risk Review process in accordance with company policies and, if necessary, participate in risk evaluation.
  • Analyze client needs and competitor offers based on general market information and information provided by the sales organization.
  • Perform analysis of lost proposals, identify potential causes, and recommend future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to achieve better future results.
  • Review bid terms to ensure compliance with acquired commitments and adherence to Hitachi Energy Group regulations.
  • Update required databases to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Provide clients with updated technical commercial and marketing material through the Corporate Communications area to constantly promote products/services.
  • Support and technically and commercially assist in sales processes related to product and/or service sales in assigned markets to achieve sales volumes and margins.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS), IT infrastructure (Servers, Network).
  • Experience in developing technical-commercial proposals for SCADA applications for distribution and transmission energy control centers.
  • Knowledge of SCADA/EMS/ADMS functionalities for applications in electric utility control centers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office package.
  • Knowledge of protocols and standards associated: IEC61850, DNP, MODBUS, and IEC101/104.
  • Knowledge of electrical transmission, protection, SCADAs, networks (basic), and RTUs.
  • Knowledge of substation electrical protection and control equipment.
  • Intermediate level of English.
