**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Communication Systems Specialist to join our team at Source Code in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our Project Management Team (PMT), you will play a crucial role in the delivery of best-in-class capital projects.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in communication engineering, with a strong background in design, procurement, construction, and project completion. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing capital projects according to scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Providing technical input and review of design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of facilities;
  • Addressing technical issues arising in all phases of project development related to communication packages;
  • Managing General Engineering Services (GES) design contractor activities during the development of Pre-FEED & FEED, including definition of project work scope and schedule requirements;
  • Development of detailed estimate leading to funding appropriation and approval;
  • Reviewing and resolving day-to-day contractors' activities related to assigned project work during construction and ensuring HSE compliance;
  • Participating in developing communication deliverables and other documents such as bid documents, I/O lists, ILDs, ISDs, specification sheets, communication protocols, C&E diagrams, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, control narrative, startup plans, etc.
  • Attending Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of communication equipment and resolving any technical issues prior to shipment to the site;
  • Conducting Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Integration Site Acceptance Test (ISAT) for all communication equipment and resolving any technical issues that arise;
  • Performing change order scope definition, cost estimation, and assisting the Project Manager or Company representative in the change management process;
  • Reviewing weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of contracts, including project costs and schedule; attending project meetings, e.g., progress, stakeholders, design review, plot plan, value improvement;
  • Reviewing project schedules, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned project progress and challenging below-par performance of the contractor;
  • Reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring invoices (claimed vs actual physical progress checks) and contractor's submittals;
  • Performing Project Reporting and implementing company initiatives during project execution;
  • Reviewing design/study communication system modifications to the facilities;
  • Providing routine communication (design and construction) support to facilities;
  • Developing and/or reviewing testing and commissioning procedures for communication equipment, especially in the facilities;
  • Familiarity with leading equipment manufacturers/vendors, international standards, and value improvement practices;

Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Communication Engineering from a recognized program and have at least 15 years of experience in the refining and petrochemical industries with a specialty in communication. Additionally, you should have 5+ years of field experience in construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation.

A PMP certification is preferred. You should be comfortable mobilizing to different locations, including remote areas, as needed.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
