Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer/Software Architect to lead our team in architecting and building world-class APIs and databases. As our chief architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our system.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions that deliver high-impact business value
* Provide thought leadership and build software solutions that meet business requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product direction and clarity
* Drive technical innovation and improvements of software systems towards leading-edge technologies and practices
* Define and drive software engineering best practices
* Work with the leadership team to develop and execute the company's technical strategy
Requirements
* 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on back-end systems
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent work experience
* Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices and complex software products
* Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures
* Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and design
* Proficiency in Nest.js (Typescript) and ORM
* Experience with API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request, and response modifications
* Well-versed in Agile and CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with API integrations with major services like Auth0 and AWS
