About the Role:

Avalith is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer Senior to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using Java.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex software applications using Java, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new Java features, applying this knowledge to improve our software development processes and products.
  • Contribute to the development of technical strategies, architectures, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in software development with Java, with a strong focus on object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Proven experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Frameworks, and microservices patterns, with a deep understanding of software design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of Git, including branching and merging workflows, as well as experience with JUnit, Mockito, and other testing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization concepts, with experience in deploying and managing containerized applications.
  • Experience with SQL, MySQL, and other database management systems, with a focus on database design, performance optimization, and data modeling.
  • Advanced English skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, Bamboo, and other automation tools.
  • Experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Knowledge of Kotlin and other programming languages, with a focus on software development and architecture.
