Localization Director

About the Role: The Technical Localization Specialist will lead the technical part of localization projects, performing and coordinating the engineering work, and coordinating deliveries from suppliers. This role will oversee project engineers and ensure the engineering work is performed correctly, according to project instructions, deadlines, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Project Manager on the technical preparation of the project, its execution, and final evaluation
• Perform project engineering tasks and prepare daily projects for handoff and/or client delivery
• Allocate jobs to appropriate resources and maintain communication during the project lifecycle
• Work with the supply chain for resource-related escalations or needs
• Analyze and track project tasks and deliverables
• Coordinate deliveries from suppliers and monitor their status

Requirements:

• Previous working experience as a Localization Engineer/Translator of 2 years is preferred
• Advanced English language skills
• Knowledge of major operating environments
• Knowledge of file formats and file management
• Basic programming skills (scripts) is an advantage
