The Role
We're seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to lead and deliver front-end analytical reporting solutions using Power BI. As a key member of our IT team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying performance analytics and visualization standards that provide outstanding performance and experience for self-service developers and their end-users.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need strong technical expertise in Power BI, advanced calculations, and transformations. A master's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. You'll have at least 7-10 years of IT or analytics experience, with 4-6 years delivering Business Intelligence Solutions and developing Data Visualization solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in defining and delivering the strategy and architecture for IT services, products, and capabilities for analytical front-end reporting suite using tools such as Power BI.
- Accountable for providing front-end analytical reporting design/BI Reporting Strategy, including detailed configuration, user story, required measures, comparative analytics, recommended tool selection, visualization, and guided analytical design.
- Collaborate in design reviews and recommend new standards for visualizations.
- Conceptualize and design the best fit solution against requirements.
- May provide detailed build estimates to the Solution Architect for front-end development.
- Design, develop, and deploy performance analytics and visualization standards that provide outstanding performance and experience for self-service developers and their end-users.
- Act as a source of direction, training, and guidance for other teams and team members.
- Work independently to understand business analytics requirements and translate them into solutions that provide optimal user experience.
- Research the BI industry and vendor releases, with primary focus on front-end reporting and analytics with our strategic vendors: PowerBI, Tableau, SAP, etc.
- Demonstrate deep learning agility and promote a learning culture.
