About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our tight-knit, cross-functional Product Engineering team. As a key contributor, you'll collaborate with Product, Design, and QA experts to expand the value of our platform for world-class customers.

Responsibilities
  • Work with roughly defined requirements to build effective solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve synergy and deliver features that exceed user expectations
  • Participate in architectural/system design discussions and decisions
  • Design, implement, and maintain improvements to our platform's functionality
  • Write high-quality, standardized, concise, and maintainable code
  • Track down and fix bugs
  • Follow our agile methodology and contribute to its improvement
  • Own and lead initiatives from inception to delivery and maintenance

  • Help, coach, and mentor fellow team members in their day-to-day tasks and professional development
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of web server-side oriented languages (i.e., PHP, Javascript, Python, Golang)
  • Knowledge of relational and document-oriented databases (i.e., MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of memory-stored systems (i.e., Redis, Memcached)
  • Knowledge of web architectures, services, and APIs concepts
  • Experience developing microservices
  • Experience using design patterns
  • Excellent OOP knowledge
  • Experience with version control (git, subversion)
  • Ability to work well in an agile and team environment
  • Solid English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in quality practices such as unit test implementation
  • Strong testing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interest in understanding our customers, market, and product to bring new ideas to the table
  • Strong continuous improvement culture and intellectual stimulation approach
