About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the Reporting Configuration team, responsible for delivering products that support the creation of advanced analytics reports in the Medallia Experience Cloud platform. This team is a full-stack, cross-functional team that is working on the next generation of tooling to help administrators tailor reports to specific use cases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in building enterprise-grade, distributed systems. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and driving the technical roadmap and product implementation, as well as partnering with dependent teams across engineering to ensure smooth product deliveries and uninterrupted service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and robust APIs and components for user-facing applications.
  • Partner with dependent teams to ensure smooth product deliveries and uninterrupted service.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge, tools, and process and work with the team to address them.
  • Incorporate best practices and habits and help build tooling to enforce them.
  • Work in small teams with like-minded engineers in an agile environment.
  • Become a go-to person for one or more components owned by the team.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining software products.
  • Experience building enterprise-grade, distributed systems.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Confident comprehension of software engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Java.
  • Experience working with SQL databases.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
