In this role, you will be responsible for developing and successfully providing legal support for international growth plans, including assessing regulatory and legal requirements and developing a plan for successful execution. You will also collaborate with Legal counterparts focused on product, privacy, compliance, corporate, and financial regulatory to ensure necessary local licenses, permits and registrations are obtained before entering new jurisdictions, and jurisdiction-specific product initiatives are vetted.

As International Business Lawyer, you will help ensure we meet our business objectives while complying with all relevant laws and regulations in the regions where we operate. You will assess threshold risks and requirements associated with entering new cities in Brazil, inform decisions about the prioritization and timing of entry, and monitor changes in the law to ensure ongoing compliance in those places.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and successfully provide legal support for international growth plans
  • Collaborate with Legal counterparts focused on product, privacy, compliance, corporate, and financial regulatory
  • Assess threshold risks and requirements associated with entering new cities in Brazil
  • Inform decisions about the prioritization and timing of entry
  • Monitor changes in the law to ensure ongoing compliance in those places

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of post-law school experience working as an attorney, with solid BigLaw experience and/or fast-paced startups. You must have excellent academic credentials and be a qualified lawyer in good standing with eligibility to practice in LATAM.
