Job Summary
This role involves developing and executing security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal or external attacks on our systems, data, and web-based applications. The successful candidate will research and analyze potential security threats, design effective countermeasures, and provide regular updates to management on security-related issues. This position requires 3 days a week in our Buenos Aires office and fluency in English.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage security solutions, investigate incidents, and implement effective resolution strategies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures, as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
- The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of security practices with company policies and procedures and working towards upholding these goals.
- Participate in business continuity planning and disaster recovery efforts, where applicable.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and pursue relevant certifications that support the company's strategic goals.
- Awareness of relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines is highly desirable.
- Collaborate with the global IT organization to ensure our environment remains fully patched and secured.
- Identify and mitigate IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives.
- Conduct technical analysis, make change control recommendations, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Continuously improve skills related to SIEM tools and their implementation.
Requirements
- Experience with log correlation tools and security management systems.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with various security tools (Vulnerability Management, Configuration Management, SIEM, etc.).
- Ability to analyze captured data to identify potential security threats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Positive attitude towards learning new platforms and technologies.
- Willingness to attend training sessions and obtain/maintain required certifications.
- Must be fluent in English and willing to work 3 days a week in our Buenos Aires office.
