About the Position
This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of lawyers and professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing critical support to the AWM business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and summarizing external legal advice, articulating rules of the road for the business, and facilitating regular updates of existing Conduct of Business Memoranda and Opinions.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing new legal opinions from external counsel and conducting research to identify key issues and regulatory requirements.
- Engaging with stakeholders to source feedback on legal and regulatory updates and fielding basic queries concerning the use and content of Conduct of Business Memoranda and Opinions.
- Drafting summaries of updates to facilitate review and approval processes via internal workflow tools.
- Acting as first point of contact in the Legal Department for assistance in advising on potential CBM issues and providing regular feedback to the AWM business and cross-border forums on pending reviews.
Requirements
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Sufficiently well-qualified to interpret and summarize external legal advice and articulate rules of the road for the business.
- Self-starter who is able to work collaboratively in a high-performing team, takes ownership of responsibilities and projects, and is results-oriented and flexible.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced, complex business environment and maintain communication with attorneys regarding project status and estimated completion timelines.
