Job Description: As a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing server features and robust APIs, integrating existing applications with third-party systems, and evaluating multiple approaches and technologies to solving a problem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain server-side logic, database integration, and API connectivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the engineering process

Requirements:

  1. BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
  2. 3+ years of experience with backend development, Ruby on Rails
  3. 1+ years of experience with virtual-dom based frontend technologies (React or Vue.js)
  4. Deep expertise with Linux and hosted cloud environments (Heroku, AWS, App Engine or other)
  5. Practical experience with open source technologies, including SQL and NoSQL DBs
  6. Experience integrating solutions with 3rd party APIs (RESTful, OAuth, JSON)
  7. Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving
