Job Objective
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design and implement sophisticated cloud environments for our clients utilizing state-of-the-art automation tools and technologies. Your role will encompass the establishment, maintenance, and enhancement of AWS cloud architecture, alongside supporting infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and developing necessary automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of DevOps Engineers to architect, build, and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure that is robust, scalable, and self-sufficient.
- Advocate for infrastructure as code and automation practices. Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CircleCI, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is essential.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders independently to gather requirements and communicate new features and improvements.
- Enhance current operational practices and procedures to drive efficiency.
- Ensure compliance and security measures are implemented and maintained within operational infrastructure.
- Mentor and train junior DevOps engineers and new team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Rancher).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible) and container technologies (Docker, Docker-Compose).
- Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, JavaScript).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a project team.
Technical Expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience in architecting solutions within the AWS cloud environment.
- Strong background in designing and managing CI/CD workflows and tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of core DevOps principles (CI/CD, Agile, Automation).
- In-depth knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Expertise in designing secure infrastructures adhering to contemporary cloud-native security standards.
