Job Summary:
We are seeking a Compliance and Operational Risk Associate to join our team within the Global Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk department. As an independent contributor, you will perform assessments of the risk and control environment for different sub-lines of business within the Latin America and Canada region via Monitoring and Testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing an independent assessment of the design and effectiveness of controls executed in the LOBs within the LAC region through Monitoring activities, Testing activities, and issue closure validations to validate compliance with internal policies and standards, as well as external laws, rules, and regulations.
- Collaborating with Compliance and Operational Risk Officers on engagements including developing test scripts, collaboration on issue discussions, business meetings, and drafting of final reports.
- Ensuring quality and timeliness of monitoring, testing, and issue validation execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of related business, compliance, audit, risk, or legal functions or other equivalent regulatory background.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and multi-cultural understanding.
- Must be self-motivated, driven, proactive, personable, and have excellent and efficient communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workflow with minimal supervision.
