About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Avature. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Development: Design and develop database structures, including schema design, data modeling, and database performance optimization.
  • Database Administration: Administer and maintain database systems, including database backup and recovery, database security, and database performance monitoring.
  • Database Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve database performance issues, including query optimization, indexing, and caching.
  • Database Security: Ensure database security, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure database systems meet business requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and patterns.
  • Database Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of database systems, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and database management systems.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, including SQL, Python, and Bash.
  • Operating System Knowledge: Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
