Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Thermal Comfort Calibration Specialist to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing software requirements, developing and reviewing test cases, and tuning and commissioning thermal comfort software for assigned vehicle variants.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or a related field. You should have 5-9 years of experience in automotive software development and calibration, preferably in HVAC or other complex systems/domains. Additionally, you should have experience in managing diverse stakeholders across time zones, including external engineering service providers.

Requirements:

You will be responsible for:

  1. Analysis of thermal comfort software requirements to determine software tuning effort.
  2. Development and review of vehicle test cases designed by system engineers.
  3. Tuning and commissioning of thermal comfort software for assigned vehicle variants for all software deliveries.
  4. Maintenance and update of calibration parameter datasets for different vehicle/software variants in Encore.
  5. Flash of thermal comfort parameter values for a given release into relevant ECUs.
  6. Preparation of vehicle testing plans and participation in calibration drives - summer and winter test drives.
  7. Scheduling and booking of appointments with test benches and vehicles to execute listed test scenarios.
  8. Informing all stakeholders about updated parameter datasets.
  9. Supporting the team for vehicle calibration activities.
  10. Raising tickets for issues in respective platforms/tools.
  11. Regular status updates and reporting in different meetings/forums.
  12. Effective and proactive stakeholder management with partners in Germany and colleagues in MBRDI.
  13. Willingness for extensive/continuous stay in Germany based on business/company needs.
